I just bought a new rear tire for my fxdx a ME 880 150/80/16 with mount and balance $185 why is it that I can buy a set of tires for my pickup with a 40000 mile warranty for $240 and 1 rear tire that I might get 12000 miles out of is $185 that and I can get a set of headers for my small block chevy for $150 or less and two pipes and a muffler is $600 this just piss's me off to no end this rage hits me every time I have to buy a new rear tire or look at new pipes like the new big radius 2into1's oh well I'll wait for the mma swap meet at the cow palace and get a used set for $40 like my thunderheader

OK I'm done whining

Whine away, we all have the same feeling when purchasing parts/tires/etc for our bikes. I think bike parts are a crime. Next time your feeling pissed about the cost of bike parts, try buying something for a boat. Then you'll really feel the pinch in the ol wallet.

I hear ya... a rear tire just cost me about $240 with installation and balancing (Canadian dollars, which is pretty damn near equal to American dollars now). Brutal! I must have looked like an idiot when he quoted me the price... I told him that I just needed the rear tire changed, not the both of them! Ended up that he was the best price out there.

The prices are just stupid! I mean, a damned screw for the bike is around $10! Though I guess I shouldn't complain... a screw for me costs at least $100 and a day of shopping with the wife.

Thumbs up

Seems like all the toys and play things we buy are outrageously priced... Guess we can all call this life or welcome to the material world... No matter what you do for fun, your gonna pay... How's it go: "if you wanna play, you gotta pay..."
