I have a numbered, framed john Elway picture on the left side of my wall and on the right a signed, framed picture of Bill Elliot.

Give me a driver or a quarterback with class and a never say die attitude and you'll get my respect.
Tom Brady's idol was John Elway so...he ain't all bad.

I don't have pictures of any of the HMS drivers or cars. Don't wanna support a felon and a bunch of cheaters. Bilichick, unfortunately falls into the category. He's like a cross between Jach Roush (attitude) and Rick Hendricks who has the best cheaters currently running in NASCAR. Everybody stretches the rules.....they are just not good enough to get away with it all the time..... The best ones were Junior Johnson and Smoky Yunick...they didn't like the Pats either.

Ok I have to have a rebuttal on cheating.

A quote from a 2002 Sports Illustrated article and a link to the whole article below. The article isn't specifically about cheating but does illustrate its use. Why do you think the coaches and players in football and baseball cover their mouths went making calls and talking? Because they know people are watching. So lets not kid ourselves into thinking that the Patriots are the only team in the league doing something unethical. I haven't looked but I'm sure one could probably dig something up about the Jets coach Mangina ratting on a fellow coach.

So is Shanahan a cheater too? Or anybody else who would do that? Per the definition stated I guess the answer would be yes. Execution wins games so I don't believe a bit of it.

For good times, there's nothing like inviting a car full of lip-readers over to watch Sunday's NFL games.

"Lipreading is a feverish topic in the NFL these days. Coaches are covering their mouths when they send in plays because they're suspicious that thieves are watching. The coaches look like they had onions for lunch or just graduated from the Istanbul Spy Institute. "We hear rumors all the time about [opposing] coaches hiring guys to read our lips," says Cardinals offensive coordinator Rich Olson.

It's no rumor, pal. "Our guy keeps a pair of binoculars on their signal-callers every game," says Broncos coach Mike Shanahan. "With any luck, we have their defensive signals figured out by halftime. Sometimes, by the end of the first quarter." "

Hmm, maybe that's why his nickname is manGINA?

Like Junior and Smoky always said, it ain't cheatin' till you get caught.

In baseball..it's illegal to have a guy in the bleachers with binos trying to get the catcher's signs to the pitcher to be relayed back to the batter. Can't believe Shanahan would admit to that. I know it's not taping/filming/whatever, and I don't know the NFL rules (I suspect it's not or he wouldn't admit it). Sure it's not illegal until you get caught, but I think monetary punishment doesn't go far enough. Do you believe Bilicek's $500k fine was paid completely by him?

Go Steelers!

The NFL is becoming a sham. Saw the Raiders/Packers game and even though I HATE the Raiders I knew that either the fix was on or the ref's were so bad they'd be beat down at a Pop Warner game. Phantom flags flew constantly against the Raiders (AKA Traitors) until the game was out of hand, then they flew, equally as bad, against the Packers (to even the box score maybe?). I like the auto-review that college does now, even though it slows the game. The boneheaded zebra's in the NFL have only got worse over the years, and my fine 55" HDTV shows just how amatuer they are too well. Time for the ref's to be full-timers that actually are watching the same game the fans see.

I think instead of watching all those sports games I would rather be out riding.

Yesterday's football sucked (even though Favre is the best foul-weather QB to ever play the game). Today was heaven. As a California boy and AFC West fan (my Raiders suck..though good draft pic again)..go Chargers! I hate the Cowboys with a passion (almost as much as I hate the Yankees)..so go on vacation with Jessica Simpson.

I gotta believe, even though they are probably the biggest underdog possible in these playoffs..the Chargers will give the Patriots a run for their money. They haven't won 8 in a row on just luck. Gotta cause some turnovers though (the Bolts led the league in takeaways and differential with +24 their way) to win.
