| Well the only thing that makes me a RUB is that I have a toyhauler. I can't say I have a lot of 500+ one day rides but I got plenty in the 400+ range. As far as the toyhauler goes I'll try to put another view on it. Before I had a toyhauler vacationing with the family meant no bike. With the toyhauler I get the bike. So having the toyhauler allows me to ride more!!
Future plans for 1st year of retirement. 1 year cross country trip with toyhauler. Will have bike, truck, and golf clubs. (and wife of coarse) What more could one ask for...all my favorite things???
Oh and I'm not rich so I can't be a RUB |

| Guess ya might call me a RUB, I'd be cryin' about my bike, too! Dang near played that scene out about 25 years ago when I wrecked and my arm was swinging way low after being dislocated from it's socket. But not the Rolex - heck, I don't even wear a watch....retired livin' don't require it. But I ain't rich and my part of Nevada is about as un-urban as you can get and still have a Wal-Mart and McDonald's. Good quail hunting is 1/4 mile away, dirt bikes and ATVs aren't hassled by the deputies when folks ride on the street and no one even thinks about honking at the John Deere equiptment when they block traffic...... |

| Dang I might be turnin to a RuB a little.
Gettin older I seem to not like cold weather as much, and try to not ride in the rain. Tired of being soaking wet.
When I was younger my scoot used to be my main transportation. Now I'm gettin older I tend to be lazyier and want to do thing the easier way. 300 miles in a day is about as much ridin as I want now.
I did 500 miles last year in 10 hours on the 07 Wide Glide I had with my wife on back. That included stoppin and eating and vistin Cowboy in Austin to look at a bike and all. that was pretty much a fast and hard day.
I'd like to have a toy hauler so I could go way down south to McAllen for Jan and feb and ride down there and see what everything is like if the old lady ever gits to retire.
Got a 08 bike and have 6300 miles on it, so I do like to ride every now and then. Don't think they will open a starbucks up in my neck of the woods. Ranchers don't do starbucks anyway. They might open one down where chuckTx. lives 1st Heh Heh. |
