| I remember Goose getting on about that beer. When we did the Bike Talk ride..the last one, I picked up some Shiner Bock in Flagstaff, I got off cheep, SK had that Italian Racing tire on the back of his FJR go bad, I remember having a bit of a time getting him to Springerville. Cd, Trish and the crew came through good on that one. I like this site, you learn lots. I didn't know what a tamale was untill I went to Sturgis and Goose packed up some home made ones from his neighbor.
I saw a good looking salmon recipe here in this thread. here's a link to the way I like doing salmon, good site with some great ways of planking salmon. I've tried a couple ..lots more to go tho.
here's the link GRILLED SALMON RECIPES - ALDER OR CEDAR PLANK SALMON, SALMON STEAK, FISH & SEAFOOD GRILLING |

| Boy, sleepy I don't remember that beer but I sure do remember getting SK to Springerville on that bum tire he had and CD having one sent up that evening from Tucson. We even found a small bike shop in town the next day that put the tire on to. That was a good time there and one I'll never forget. |

| Yep, after just 2 1/2 from surgery I already feel like I want to be back on the bike, however I know its way to soon yet. Went out today shopping with the wife so I got a lot of walking in. Stairs are hard but getting a lot better.
We really should do a ride together again. Grand Canyon would be good down through Mohab, never been to the Grand Canyon yet. |

I always double up the recipe and then use the 13X9 inch pan.
Below is for a signal loaf.
1 cup pineapple guava pulp/seeds/juice, just do not use the shells(also works with bananas, browner the better.
1/2 cup vegetable oil(can be replaced with fresh apples put in a blender partially or completely but, it is harder to tell when done baking and the shelf life becomes very short.)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract(optional but recommended)
1 cup suger
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
**************************************************
Optional adding half cup of chopped Pecans and other favorite dried fruit. 1/2 cup each.
I mix my wet stuff and dry stuff separately then together.
Bake at 350fahrenheit for 45 to 60 minutes (last batch took 70 minutes for clean toothpick test.
One of the other places I hang out; Hey, too many pineapple guavas or they are getting old and odd?, found magic use. |

BTW I don't feel my freedom is being the least bit infringed. And you are right, i don't buy it.
I can remember being approached in bars and being told if I wanted to stay I would have to turn my shirt inside out. I always just left figuring the guy had a right to run his business the way he saw fit. I still feel that way. I do think it is BS that a city can force a guy to not to let his customers smoke. Its the same as passing a law that says everybody who goes into a bar MUST SMOKE, the very same thing. WTF all it takes is a sign on the door, Smoking OK or No Smoking, there is enough room and enough market for everybody. AL |

SK, I'm so glad those days are behind us and that dude is gone. It sure did one thing that turned out as a real positive and that was it started Bike Talk and brought many of us together in Laughlin and on the rides CD put together. |
