Anybody know why the idiots at HD would once again change a good thing and go back to DOT 4 on the 2007 bikes.....changed out my front brakes for HHI's and added some braid only to find when I went to replace the fluid, I had to exchange the DOT 5 I had purchased for DOT 4....don't they realize this stuff is corrosive and eats paint.....sheeeesh...why would they do this to us....?????????????

They switched a few years ago I believe 05 as that is what mine is and it has dot 4. Dot 4 is better brake fluid IMHO ,you just have to be very careful when using it, it does not absorb water as bad as dot 5 and gives a firmer brake pedal feel. Todd

4 is water resistant....wont rust the brake lines or gum up as bad as the others.........that said they will prob. come out with 8 next year or so...........
