Az. has a similar law. I sent the bill numbers to my reps Cornyn, Conaway and Hutchinson and stated it was a disgrace that these states were ahead of Tx. in passing such laws. I got replies but it was basically lip service. We have a serious problem in Texas and if we are not careful it will end up like southern Ca. The illegals have bankrupted that state and in many places dang near outnumber the legal citizens. The gangs certainly have them (legal citizens) out gunnned. The best thing Cali could do at this point is make a new state line at Sacramento and declare everything from that point north a separate state, that way maybe they could salvage something. AL

They'll just keep coming to "sanctuary cities" who refuse to give the boot to illegals because its not the "human" thing to do.

I keep fighting the cause. That's 2 states in the last 6 month's that have passed this law. I think the movement is getting stronger. As more states enact these laws the illegals will get tired of continually moving around and head back to Mexico. I also think that no matter what city govenment wants, the citizens of these sanctuary cities will get tired of the influx of illegals, higher crime, more tax dollars to support the freeloaders, and force their city leaders to make a change.

Fortunately, most states that enact a law tend to enforce it even though a town or city doesn't like it. Nogales resisted, kicked, whined and screamed and got told to enforce it or the atate would.
