I live in Minnesota we just had a rain to get the salt washed off the roads and we 6" of snow dumped on us. It was a good excuse for the highway dept. to use the rest of their salt and snad on the roads. Now we wait for rain again.

If you are going to loose your mind, PLEASE do us ALL a favor (including yourself....) Stay in places you will go to again.....that way you stand a chance of finding it again later!!!! If you do a once in a lifetime gig and THAT is where you loose it, it may well be gone forever!!!

The weather here this weekend was really nice (70's) and our HOG chapter rode down to the Astoria Crab Festival at the coast where the Columbia River dumps into the ocean. What a great ride it was. From Astoria myself and 3 others rode down to Lincoln City about 125 miles down the coast. Man it was nice out. Was my first long ride sense the heart surgery and I was a bit tired when we arrived in Lincoln City. The ride on Saturday was about a 250 mile day. HWY 101 down the Oregon coast is sure a nice ride.
The wives who were waiting for us had went out and bought pizza's and chicken breast for me. God Damnnnn that pizza sure smelled good. They all sat around eating pizza and drinking beer right in front of me. Sh1t it sure sucks having to eat healthy, oh well I'm still here to enjoy riding.

Ya want worse?
My motors been at SNS for almost 5 months
It took a dump in December and shipped to WI in Jan, and got it back last week
Finished up reinstalling it in the frame last weekend so not only did I not have a bike to ride (san's loaners from friends)
It was perfect weather in the 50's at night, 70's during the day and Bikeweek and Leesburg Bikefest
Worse is being where you can ride and not having a bike to ride.

I never noticed this before....Youre from Oregon City....one of my ol Marine Corps buddies owns a trucking company out there....small world. I suppose your problem is more of the wet variety than the cold huh ?

We have had plenty of both this year. We've hit record lows during the day several times this year. Today we were 1 degree above a record low. The weather here lately throws out a teaser day every now and then and then it seems like it slams the door on ya.
What trucking company does your friend own?
