Obama forced to pledge allegiance, but he doesn't say America.
Quote

Listen to him closely. "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of Americ, and to the republic....." Watch as he looks down at the "under God" part.

I just thought people would find this interesting.

While I believe kids should say the PoA in school, I would omit the "under God" part from it..doesn't need to be there.

You can see it here.

Obama unfazed by heckler - OPENERS - Ohio Politics Blog by The Plain Dealer

That dude skipped his pills that day and was an obvious plant. While Obama did look down he did so several times at different points. Speakers often look at the lectern for their notes and it becomes a habit. Also, I clearly heard him say America. The term "town hall" is used by every politician to refer to a meeting where potential voters come to listen to and ask questions of a candidate. It is by no means an official town hall meeting as no community business is discussed or voted on since you have no idea if those present are citizens of that community.

I am sick and tired of both sides of this mud and crap slinging, fear mongering political system we now have. Many of us no longer base our votes on who we feel is right for the job we base them on what we are spoon fed on the Internet and our "unbiased" media. We do not attend actual events, read what is written by the candidates and filter through the trash. We use the Internet for research because it is easy and the information is always true and accurate because after all, it is on the Internet right? We feed into the bias and spread what we believe to be accurate when the truth lies somewhere in between. We don't bother to research the facts we just read or listen and believe.

If you believe everything that is written, Obama is a terrorist in a politicians cloak, Hillary is a closet lesbian and McCain was really a POW traitor as he revealed secrets while at the Hanoi Hilton. You can get 150 MPG using this secret fuel additive or special carburetor or build your own space plane from tin foil.

I am no longer a registered Republican I changed to Independent many years ago. I usually vote the Republican ticket but have voted locally for Democrats and even an Independent since the incumbent was an idiot.

I wish we would go back to a level of respect and factual reporting of the news. Neither the Liberal media i.e the Clinton News Network (CNN) or the FOX conservative network or locals make any effort to report anything without a biased slant one way or the other. It isn't just a recent change either. I can remember Crondike telling us the war is lost and the faked up, one sided reporting and filming done in Vietnam. It goes back to the newspaper magnates that fell mostly to the Conservative side many years ago. Somewhere along the line journalists forgot that their job was to report the facts without the input of their biases.

I will vote for McCain not because he is a Conservative but because he is the most experienced and has a military background (Navy, but what the hell I won't hold it against him ) IMHO Obama just does not have enough experience yet.

I also will be voting for McCain, mainly because he is the lesser of two evils. The sad thing is voting for the lesser of two evils is you are still voting for an evil. This Country needs and deserves a new political party. I think the Patriot party would be a good name, and it should be a conservative & preservative party. Giving back rights taken away by those pretending to have the peoples best interest at heart!
Also I do not think Under God should ever be removed from anything! Our constitution gives us the freedom of religon and not the freedom from religon. If this offends some of you, please let me know so I can pray for you, because I love you, but God loves you more.

I agree. He has the experience in world affairs and all of the mumbo-jumbo diplomacy stuff. He is a little hot headed and a little to conservative on womens rights to me but I will take that over inexperience anytime. The thing that is key to me is who will be his running mate? That can make or break the whole enchilada. Cheney is supposed to speak at the RNC.... maybe seems the party heads are a little gun shy (bad euphemism ) about the effect it might have on McCains ability to unify the RNC.

I am voting McCain as well, though he would not be my first choice if there were better choices. Oblama has the Clinton-esque way of saying a lot of hopeful ****e without actually saying anything of substance.

The problem with all politicians is that they are to afraid to stand up and make the really tough decisions that need to be made, and they divide everything into left or right. Both candidates have a 'plan' to balance the budget sometime in the future. Perhaps I am 'old school' but it seems to me when you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging. Stop going further into debt now, and then come up with a plan to reduce the debt in the future. Unfortunately, one side wants to increase taxes, the other side wants to cut spending, but in reality, we would need some of both to get that monster under control.

I think McCain has a better track record on bipartisanship, though I do not always agree with the compromises, at least maybe (a ray of hope here) maybe somethings will get done.

I will vote McCain....as much as anything as I feel he is the lesser of evils... I think that part of the problem is that there are too many people in Big Government that are thinking Big Pocketbook....for themselves. You have many in Congress and Senate that have been there for years. Many have Pork Barrel Projects that they are fighting for, you have to be a lawer to even come close to understanding most of the crap they have written up (and I don't always trust lawers!). The President is more or less a figurehead and has some power, but not as much as everyone makes it out to be. Many of the problems are a culmanation of the entire Big Government currently in place. It will take a strong president, congress, and senate...ALL with the good of the NATION (not just themselves or the state they are from) to really get a handle on things. JMHO....

I agree with many of you in that McCain seems to be the lesser of two evils and Obama just isn't ready yet..though he's so young (president's agewise anyway) that he'll be a force for a couple of decades (I see him becoming president in the future if he doesn't screw up like pulling an Edwards or something). Any way..it'll be interesting to see what McCain does if he wins this election. Will he go back to his maverick moderate and hopefully bipartisan ways, or continue to cow-tow to the GOP right? If he wants to win, I think he needs to pull in the middle. True GOP folks won't vote for Obama. Are there any true moderates out there? I'm with CD in that I'm not really a Republican any more, though I'll never be a Democrat. I'm registered GOP, but only for the primary (actually it's really a caucus). Nevada doesn't let you vote either side if you're registered Independent, and there aren't any Independents who are gonna make a difference in the presidential election..as yet. Though I have to say..after experiencing the seriously flawed caucus system (in Nevada) earlier this year for the first time..I'm ready to register as an Independent next time around.

McCain isn't perfect but he is a whole lot better than Obama. It's not Obama's inexperience that bothers me. It's his governing philosophy that scares the hell out of me. He is a classic left wing Democrat... redistribute the wealth....take from the rich..give to the poor.......tax,tax and more tax. His tact of appeasement with our enemies will get us bit on the butt also. I don't believe he will ever be ready for leading our country. I said I would move to Costa Rica if Hillary got elected. I may have to consider doing the same with Obama. I really believe he may be worst than she would have been.

I still believe another party would be a great idea. There is no time for this election but we have 4 years to start another party if we had people willing to have party headquaters and devote serious time and effort to it.

The party would need to have people with the greater good of the people at heart and not how much Oil companies, Pharmacies, & other special interest groups are going to pay them to vote their way.If you tried paying a Judge to rule your way it's called bribery but if you are in D.C. it's called lobbying.

Ever notice how they were going to vote against lobbying but it didn't pass. Hmmmm.

The problem with another party is that you are gonna get a President who is even less popular when you split the vote 3 ways...so instead of 50% of the people being pissed off cause their guy didn't win, now its gonna be more like 66%.....By the way just a little side note....went to a flea market today & saw "Obama, Democratic Presidential nominee" T-shirts everywhere. Didn't see one McCain T-shirt.....wonder why....Hmmmm....

When McCain ran against Bush in the primary I voted For McCain. I've often wondered where we would be had McCain beat Bush. We'll never Know but still wonder where we would be at today.
