I admit it, I hate crowds - and many people in general (hermitile, I guess - too many years learning others' secrets may have soured me on most of the human race). So you won't see me at Sturgis and I only go to Virginia City for Reno's Street Vibes. But I have grown fond of the Run-A-Mucca Motorcycle Rally in Winnemucca, NV. Probably the least glamorous rally in the country. It's this weekend, and it is my last ride for awhile as I am going under the knife (again - ) for some spine reinforcement (please spare me the "weak spine/spineless" jokes - I am a veteran and a veteran firefighter, and though it may be a bit worn out and a tad too crunched I have always at least HAD a spine ).
Anyway, I thought I'd give 'em a plug and let anyone that likes low-key, laid back, good-ol-biker rallies know about it. Here's a link:
Runamucca Motorcycle Event
I am not in anyway affiliated with the guys who put this on, or even anyone in Winnemucca, so don't take this as a spam.
It'll hurt like to even ride that little distance (about 300 miles round and abouts)....which is why I am willing to have 'em cut & drill on me Tuesday. But it would hurt more to miss the great BBQ (mmmm, Flying Pig!) and a chance to get in the saddle and share some asphalt flying with like-minded bros and babes before becoming an invalid for awhile. The "Burning Bike" thing is cool, too.

I'm not going to the run, but I wish you well on the recovery from your surgery. I doubt if anyone here would've made any "spine/spineless" jokes, especially to a veteran like yourself, and especially just before you go under the knife. Like I said, good luck and a speedy recovery.

Jokes are always welcome - hence the smiley - like the song from KISS years ago, "Got to laugh, 'cause I know I'm gonna die!" - though I doubt it will be from this. Will be from something stupid, like choking on oatmeal!
Thanks, ya'll! Time for more good scotch!

I'mmmmm back!
Had a blast at Run-A-Mucca - even bought stuff for the wife & kids between drinks and cigars. Had the surgery yesterday, just got home. Drugs are working but it'll be weeks before I ride. Barely walk or speak, but at least it is over.
time for another nap!

Glad to hear you're home Red. Rest up so you can get back on the road, and tell the doc not to be stingy with the drugs.... No sense in being miserable while you're recovering, and we'll be here to keep you entertained.
(need me to send you some emails to keep your eyes and heart workin?? )

Chuck, I got oodles of porn emails just ready to send. I just don't usually send it out. I figured I'd help him out and give him a reason to get up in the morning! How much do you want??

Dang, have times changed! I am actually turning down free porn!
I can truthfully say my ol' lady is enough for me, but I might as well add that all the codeine I'm livin' on has made me forget I even have a dick. And since I don't need it and I don't want my li'l ones to ask me those questions no sane man wants to hear from his kids, I'll just say "thanks, but no thanks". Feel free to spam chucktx with a porn blizzardc for us all, tho!
