Lovely ride

Someday I want to ride into the Canadian Rockies. That is my dream trip. West through the U.S. and be able to see Montana then through to Canada. Anyone here ever been riding in the Canadian Rockies.

when we run to the wall,,, we generally come back to west coast via canada,,, thru banth ,,,glaciar and than back up to calgary and accross to b.c.,,,, banth is about the best,,, next to black hills,,,, i could go live there again,,,, by the way we leave may 12,,,, will be comming back same as usual....saddle up,,, only takes us 30 plus days,,,

hey i just noticed your in n.y.,,,, we will go to times square and ellis island niagra falls than canada,,,, only takes 12 days to west coast,,, if yiou just wanted to see rookies could ride as far as calgary and than go back via montana,,,,we will even eat at your resterant....

I've ridden in the "city" Brooklyn under those train rails and on through to the tip of Long Island. To see the sunrise there. A place called Montauck on the tip. That was beautiful. On the way back it was the Long Island expressway. Total suicide. I had no idea how bad it was till I was in it. Don't recommend no New York City area riding at all. When I went out on the Expressway it was late and dark. Traffic was ok. Then on back I hit it at rush hour. God lord never was so scared in my life. They do 90 miles an hour bumper too bumper. It was a long time ago. The Verizono Bridge is awesome was on it in four wheels this summer but sure would love to ride it. It streches from staten island to the city. There is a steel grate bridge there. Was brave about riding on them when I was younger but I don't know about now.

on either side of the border. The Canadian Rockies are raw and rugged, some really great riding. Gas is expensive here..roughly 4 dollars per American gallon. I don't really know that much about accomodations aside from some camping along Highway 3 along the border..A really great road is the 3A from Creston to Balfour..rated as the number one sportbike road in Canada...beautiful scenery but if you want to ride it fast, you'd best be ready. only way i guess gas price is per day/mile,,,, liter in canada,,,bigger than quart,,,, my per day average is highest in calif,,,, lots of nice campgrounds with showers and laundry all accross ,,,,and up b.c.,,, u.s. money exchange rate is bad for us ,,,, that is what will kill you....

3.8 litres is 1 gal U S. As far as the money goes, change it at a bank where you live or use your debit card....[like I do and did when our dollar was 66 U S cents] a lot of places either skin you alive in exchanging currencies or won't take the money. From Times Square on W. 42nd go west on W. 42nd to the End of W. 42nd Street where you will run into Hells Kitchen. Hang a left to go south on the W.Side Highway or also called Joe DiMaggio HWY stay on it south all the way to Battery Park. From there you can take a ferry to Ellis Island. a passport is not required of us citizens to enter canada only in 2008 which is now you have to have one to exit Canada. Either way fairly extensive id is required. so for me i may as well get a passprt.

Took a bike trip up into Washington and then a ferry ride to Victoria and up Vancouver Island to Port Hardy. Great trip and was surprised at how long Vancouver Island is.

as far as which province you haven't visited..NL Newfoundland and Labrador are a little out of the way but a lot of Anglos avoid Quebec, NL's my call.

nope,,, been to there,,, nunavet,,, no roads,,,, newfoundland ,,,laborador not bad ,,,but ferry ride does not work well to do in one day,,,not real warm or dry,,,, nova scotia new brunswick absolutely beuatiful,,,, I have been told by numerous OTHER canadians to stay away from quebec,,and ontario,,,, but we have crossed at quebec city and also montreal,,,, never did seem any worse or better than any where else,,, always rain at 3;30 in afternoon on either side of great lakes,,,, I love saul st marie...pops p.s. i never looked at exchange this year,,,, last year thru jasper ,,,,at banks was us 1;00= 89 cents canada
