What are the differences between the 2001 touring EFI tanks to the 2003 touring EFI tanks?

    Thanks

Thanks. Real quick. I have read many horrible threads about the fuel lines getting pinholes in them causing them to stall. Once I get the pump, could I swap them for regular fuel line?

In tank fuel injection hose from gates. Regular fuel line is not designed for intank use and will not gold 62 psi without rupturing

The early in tank lines from the filter to quick connect were a little too long and rubbed against the tank giving the pin holes in them...The replacement lines are a little shorter now so it's not an issue now,but I think you'd be better off using the line Paul mentioned....It's a thicker hose and won't deteriorate submersed in fuel like a regular rubber fuel hose would....
I'd measure the replacement line in mine for ya,but it's in the tank and I ain't taking it out again LOL

Don't blame you for that. I looked at a couple of youboob videos and it looks easy just tedious. EFI soon though.

Yeah...Not difficult, but a bit of a PIA....The quick connect from Harley comes with the fuel line attached but no clamp to attach it to the pump housing...I still put a plastic sheathing over it....just in case;)

the carb is a lot easier to tune as well & you can do it at home don't need a dyno & wallet full of cash to tune

A very strong argument for carb. Almost worked.

Not so true anymore. The newer ecu's and ECM's reduce the need for dyno's.

Nope...they only need gravity to get the fuel outta the tank, not a pump, regulator, sensors and hoses....

I've read and heard far more tales of riders switching from EFI to carb than the other way around . . . wonder why that is . . ..

Go to HTT once. There are a lot of threads discussing carb to EFI conversions. It is safe to say that there are way way more than what you think. Just saying.
