Friend of mine sent me a picture of his XR-1200 that he just finished putting a new exhaust system on. 2-1-2 V&H crossover. Says it will make increase power gains and claims it puts out 96 HP. That would make a fantastic canyon carving machine.

They never did sell well and you could get some used ones at a good price but what an awesome riding bike. The brakes are a one finger job. If I wasn't so hung up on getting another FXRS, this was the Harley I would have bought. I rode a few of these at Sturgis over the years. A very under appreciated bike similar to the way the SP designated FXRS was. Lots of bikes looked better but very few handled and rode as well

There's a few on Craigslist for sale here. Not looking for another bike myself but if I was I would consider one.

I never rode one. I guess it is the cafe` style that bothers me.

It's a seriously flickable Harley. You gotta ride one to see the beauty in it.

Its a hell of a race bike. It will pull front tire at the flip of the wrist. Corners extremely well . And pulls out of the corners very easy.gearing is set up well for the power they make.one of the boys that worked at red racing had one. And he track rode it alot.never came home disappointed.
