    Hello,
    I just bought a 2004 XL1200C. The previous owner installed SE2 exhaust but everything else is stock. I'm very interested in a free flow air filter kit and your stage 1 jet kit. I just want to make sure of one thing before buying the air filter kit. The one I'm looking at is the K&N RK-3929. Is this kit going to do the job that an Arlen Ness or the SE kit does?

    That K&N kit will flow just as well however it is very expensive. You can get the same performance for cheaper by going with a kit from Figure Machine, Hammer Performance, or Arlen Ness.

    Figure Machine XLFLOW-S1 = $129

    Hammer = $150

    Arlen Ness Big Sucker for XL = $115-$140 (on ebay.com)

    K&N RK-3929 = $250-$300 (on ebay.com or K&N)

    Personally I like the one from Figure Machine, it is just as good as the RK-3929 and still comes with a K&N filter. They also have the S2 design if you don't want to use your cover and go with an open design.

    I'm sure there are others out there but these are the ones that come to mind and have been well reviewed for Sportsters.

    Thanks. That gives me several to look at. It does appear the Figure Machine model is very much like the K&N kit.
