I guess I was too happy to see youse Floooridians freezing. So the Lord put me in my place and hit Long Island with a blizzard and up to 14" of the snow (last estimate anyway, it started at 3-6").

Just been made official as a Blizzard. Winds over 50mph. 35 mph sustained.
Yep, tomorrow they say wind chill between -15 to -20F We haven't been hit this hard in many years. Glad I got me a F150 4x4 this Fall. I missed my 2006 one.

S'posed to get my ride back from the shop today...but no luck so far. Beautiful here out West, 50's. Should be riding (well, I still ride my enduro, but it ain't the King). Hang in there, Spring is coming!

Have a GREAT 2018, brothers & sisters of the steel horses!

Getting hammered up here. -23 degree weather. Had 14" snow already on the ground and getting 10+ now. Just relentless two digit below zero weather for 2 weeks. Had to break out the kuboto bucket loader to relocate insane piles of snow. And gelled furnace fuel issues kept me up till 2 am, including running around in town at 9:30 pm looking kerosene and/or diesel.

Have a construction salamander which helps but can only run it intermittantly for the fumes. Warms the house up to 80 in 5 minutes. Also helped heat and warm up the fuel. What a winter.

My son in Maine is also suffering with ridiculous cold and snow. His first 2 winters there spoiled him with milder weather, he' now having second thoughts about being there. Especially since he's not earning income because it's too cold to work in construction. I warned him. Now it's costing my wife and I.
