Had my state inspection the other day. Mech advised that rear brakes are getting low. So today I replaced them. It's a pain not having a lift and just working with a bike jack. Maybe someday but then again I'm getting short for years to get my money worth out of a lift.

I use a floor jack, just got a pit bull floor jack,
it its wider, lower and stable, you don't have to
hold the bike up to lift, it does it for you, and
it gets the bike up higher than the sears stuff

    made in 'mercia'

they go to all the shows, maybe you can see them
at laconia, or the goldvinger show up at the finger lakes
    noo joisy bike week.

They are going to be in Joisy in Sept next weekend

    SEPTEMBER

17 - 20THDELMARVA BIKE WEEK/OC BIKEFEST- OCEAN CITY, MD (WE WILL BE LOCATED AT THE OCEAN CITY CONVENTION CENTER)WWW.DELMARVABIKEWEEK.COM

I think it will do what you want without having to drop
    $$$$ on a full lift.

Thanks for the info. I do have the better Sears lift. It works very well and is stable but it doesn't go as high as the Pitbull. Which model did you get ? They ain't inexpensive !

It's the standard model, pump, not air lift, I do have a compressor but
by the time I hook it up I could have jacked it up already.

The turntable is interesting, right now I took two HD motorcycle cop
seats and mounted them to old office seats so I can roll around easy
    to clean, change oils etc.

Yeah they are not cheap but they are well made, and compared to
a FS Handy lift that takes up a shit load of room it's a good alternative.

Sell da sears to yer brudder

Still hard to put a drain pan under it to change oil. I like my drive on lift.

So you like HRK and take it to the dealer to have your oil changed?

I hear ya there...Kinda hard to justify the coin for a good lift, Princess Auto(something like your Harbor Freight) has a lift on sale between $500-$600 from time to time.If I had a business going I wouldn't get one,I'd spend the money on top quality one,but for a home DIYer they'd work.
