are you talking about the security fob?

Just pickup a 4 pack of the 2032 batteries from
wallmart and toss in saddlebag, also if you have
a spare fob swap it out, use the spare from time to time

Just had to replace mine, noticed the alarm wasn't
being deactivated by the key as I backed it out,
you can tell when it's getting low.

Defeating it would be difficult as its part of the sytem
    and good protection for you...

Yep, I carry an extra battery for mine in the saddle bags. You could always sell it and buy a bike with no alarm or security system.

You have to establish and input a personal 5 digit code and once you do, the next time you have an issue you're supposed to be able to punch in your code to temporarily deactivate, thus allowing you to start the bike. Go to your desalership and they can assist you. Once you have the code in place and understand how and where to punch it in you're golden next time your FOB screws the pooch.

should have got a card with the bike for your wallet, the bike
has a set code, you can change it, it does work but is a PIA to
use every time over having a new battery.

I am bewildered over how complicated bikes have become. My "ignition/security system" is a 30 amp. 2-way toggle switch tucked under the oil tank - impossible to find.

I can't find it sometimes . Fortunately, when guys stop to look at the bike and see the kickstart pedal and jockey shifter and no front brake, they want no part of this bike. If they look closer and see no ignition, they go WTF ;)? Hogdog, hope you get it sorted out soon!

Joshbob, you have a very unique bike. Doesn't matter what others think. You've done things with that bike that others can only dream about doing. To me it's like someone who paints and create a masterpiece on canvas, you have done that with this bike.

Thanks, boys. It's been cold here, too. No ride in over a week. Tomorrow I must return my new leather jacket because it's too big. Exchanging it for a medium, which I should have ordered in the first place, but everybody was saying to order a size bigger - those guys must have been giants LOL.

Joshbob you posted your post four times.

Sometimes they say to order a bigger size so that you can put heavier cloths underneath the jacket.
