Whether here is getting hot for the weekend (in the 90's) but its a real dry type of heat. Today was low 80's and real nice. Gets real cool at night and some of the leaves are beginning to turn color. Sucks winter will be here before we know it. I do love these dry late summer days with a slight breeze, very enjoyable.

Had frost warnings here last couple days, no snow yet, which is good, as I need new snowtires and its likely gonna be around a thousand with taxes. Putting that bill off as long as I can.

Saw on Fox News this morning that there was snow on the Presidents faces at Mount Rushmore. That's early.

It got up to 87F today and going to be 90F this weekend. Gets cooler at night, just right for sleeping. Plus going to be sunny and warm all next week. Great weather right now.

Texas heat is no joke. Been hot and humid here, too. Thought we'd be acclimatized to the humidity around here by now. Yesterday I auditioned for a music gig at a local bar outside in their patio. By the time I played 3 or 4 songs, the top of my guitar looked liked somebody threw a glass of water on it. Got the job, though.

Woke up at 1:30 AM last night with my eyes burning, house was full of smoke. Checked the house everything OK. Forest fire close by turns out. Things are just to dry right now, need some rain.
This picture just came in. This is the road that goes up the Clackamas river that we are always riding up to. Hwy 224 now closed in both directions. Yea, we need some rain, just to dry.

Yup. Don't have to worry about any of my bandmates showing up high or drunk or not at all. Been there, done that . . .

FLHT, any rain in the forecast?

Nope, going to be 90's and high 80's all next week. Humidity is still at 10-15%.

Was going to ride up there tomorrow with Loren but think we'll head a different direction.

Another pic cam in from the news media and they are evacuating all the camp grounds there. Fire is 18 miles from me so we are OK, just the smoke sucks.
Just to dry right now and our Liberal Governor is blaming the fire on shooters up there.
