Mac the Wife's birthday is on the 28th and we have other plans. Looks interesting, though.

It would take me at least 4 hours to get there by bike LOL. 55 - 60 is the maximum I like to ride anymore, with occasional bursts of speed if the wind is at my back.

I wish I was back there still....tried transferring twice with no luck. NC is a motorcycle riders state.

It truly is. You can ride in the winter around here on certain days. Haven't seen any snow in years, but it does get cold.

Now, if they'd just repeal the helmet law . . .

Which reminds me..I thought that very odd that NC when I was there anyways, NC had a helmet law but eye wear optional law. Have you seen the size of some of those night time critters flying around in the evening air..WTF,lol. You get hit in the eye with one of those and it'll blind ya!

Per'aps another time, MC. As time goes on, it seems it gets harder to go much more than a couple hundred miles - not because of the rigid frame - but because the ol' back constantly bothers me.

Yeah, the night time bugs around here will put an eye out for sure. Everybody I know wears goggles or face shields. They really sting when you get hit in the face LOL.

Looks like a fun event to go to. We have the all Harley Drags in August. Nitro bikes are fun to watch

I really would like to see one of those drag bike events - never been to one. Bet there's a lot of old shovelhead dragsters.

Don't know if ya can ever afford it. But the newer model bikes are easier on the bike and ride smoother making it easier to ride farther.

No money for another motorcycle. It's keeping me broke for the upkeep on this one . Besides, nothing comes close to the shovelhead experience - shake, rattle & roll!

Me and my father going for a ride back in the day.

I've always felt that the EVO's were the best bike built by the MOCO...Carbed EVO particular.

I had the 1998 Ultra with matching sidecar but didn't mind giveing it up back in 2012,partly because it was EFI and partly because the sidecar is a tricky bike to ride and I'm getting older. Didn't want to be responsible for getting into an accident with my grandkids. I got them all 4 wheelers so they get their face in the wind until they get older and can sit on the back of grampys bike. But the sidecar rig was getting tricky. 100% different then riding a regular motorcycle.
