Anybody herd anything more about "Dyna Beads"? Are they for real? or is it just something ya get in New Orleans. I'm putting new tires on my glide and would like to know more about them. Thanks.

They work great at balancing the wheels instead of stick-on weights. I put them in both my tires when I change tires, or you can pour them in the valve stem (with the valve removed) any time.

See, I'm not too old to learn something. I thought they were in the same department as "Muffler Bearings". Now I know better. :D

the guy I know rode his honda 1800 from Alb NM up to canada & back & said this is the second time he's run them in his tires , so if he's run them twice they work , he's the type who maps out every gas stop & wont put any gas in if they stop under his planed stop

I've had them in for 10,000 miles, and the back tire looks like it will go another 6-8,000. They roll around inside the tire until they find the low spot, then centrifugal force makes em stay there until you come to a stop. There shouldn't be any damage since they stay put when the wheel is turning.

Anyway, they make the ride smooth and keep the tire wearing evenly.

Didn't you ever try a hoola-hoop Chuck? You are the big Dyna Bead!

Wow. Many years ago when I was working in a Goodyear shop we would pull a tire off the rim and find black, rubber marbles in them. Not all the time, but rarely. It seems that a pebble or anything for that matter would be left in the tire and from driving around many miles it would act like a show ball and pick up minute rubber coatings that would build up and up.

    Why not these beads?!?!?

They're made out of smooth white ceramic balls the size of a pin-head. When you open up the tire after 18,000 miles, they're tan. I know about the black rubber balls you'd see inside car tires once in a while.....comes from mold rubber left inside.

    You guys crack me up.

Read up at Tire Balancing Products
Thats where I got mine. I have them in The Harley and the 75 Yamaha XS650. They work very good and I have changed them front one tire to the next. Just scoop them up out of t a tubless tire, cut open the tube and install in the next tire/tube.
Current price is $13.40 a kit. The kit comes with the beads for two tires and an installing bottle.
