I am replacing the Linkert on my panhead with a CV carb off a 89 Sportster. One of the upgrades I plan on doing is replacing the plastic fuel inlet elbow with a brass one. My question is, do I press in the elbow pointing upward, the way it was. Will the fuel delivery be restricted if it points downward?

my only input is that the curve in the hose that you are going to make going up to the tank could create an area to vapor lock
