Went to waffle house this mornin to take the OL for a pecan waffle and a fiesta omlet, and a Dr Pib. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm was it good.
Went down to the Harley dealer to git a quart of oil so I can change my tranny oil.
Talked to a MMI graduate and certified HD mechanic about the piece of plastic that is suppose to give the problems with the 6 speed.
He said there is not a piece of plastic in the tranny.
The problem is one of the bearings that was in the tranny wasn't made to specs and allowed for end play. HD is suppose to of taken care of the problems with a updated bearing. And No there was no recall on it.
He also said that he has gotten on some motorcycle forums and sees where some folks really go off the wall about stuff.
Has no idea where they got their information from but come up with Syn 3 oil is made by Citgo and that's Hugo Chavez oil.
Said that Syn 3 oil is produced by Mobile One. HD has a contract with them.
And the Syn 3 made by Mobile ONe is really good oil.
So whatever information people is spreading they don't know what they are talkin about
He said he has tried to help a couple folks on the forums and has said hes a HD certified mechanic. But too many folks know more than him
So he quit trying to help.

And who is the person and what does he know.
The person I talked to said MMI told them one of the 1st things they was taught is who made it for HD.The service writer said the same thing.
Its not a rumor spreaded by somebody that does not kn0w and is simply repeating what somebody told them.
