Home made windshield

    That's my bro in law cutting , I shake to bad to cut straight , we then put the hard. Were back on & tighten up crisscrossing to pull the bow into it used 220 sand paper on the edge took a little over 1 HR

    looks way better than the one somebody made for mine. i do miss the windshield, gonna put all the stuff on for a big ride next saturday...woo hoo.

    It works great , we went out last night put about 100 miles on her & got some places we could run about 75-80 mph & the w shield was just right

    That is way cool, where did you get the Lexan from and how thick was it?

    Lexan is an excellent choice in the type of material for the windshield.

    My bro in law had it setting in the garage , 1/8 thick same as the Hd one we replaced , we made it the same as the old one except 2 in shorter went from A 20 in to 17

    Chuck no tape , forgot about it in the heat , yesterday , bro in law has some drill bits with the point works real good on the lexan , & i held the lexan while he cut nice & clean cut :D

    Ya Josh it saved about 100 with shipping , Memphis shades was &83 + shipping & no hard ware , my hardware was in good shape

    Zan got the Recurve for his Street Glide like the klock works and his wife got the flip up at the top.

    My OL got me one at the Harley Dealer in light smoke......

    The side of my windshield was broke, my wife wanted me to have a new windshield NOW. We was going riding.

    I really like F4 customs windshields.

    The long Ride shields, I know a lot of folks with them.
    Its all about what you want to pay for them and what you want them to do.
    I like to look threw a shield Not over it.

    Boy his prices are low $70 for a windshield
    that's half everyone else even a third when
    compared to some..

    I have a Windvest 15 on the RG in dark smoke.
    Going to see about trading it for a 16, new
    RG seat is an inch higher than the old RG...
