Me too only because of the bodywork. Too much of it. Specifically around drive belt and rear wheel.

Yeah...body work ruins it. Otherwise it's no to shabby. like the flared fenders, kind of a Indian trademark. Kawasaki made a look alike except the fenders were plastic

Give Indian about 50 years of continuous production and I'd consider one. I know two guys each stuck with past attempts. The fact that Polaris is making them gives me little confidence especially since there are so few dealers nationwide.

Never thought this would happen but I agree with Fatboy. Just can't get past the excessive body work. Other than that, I don't mind it so much.

Sorry, I know I'll get flak for this, but the 800cc Drifter was closer appearance wise than this Darkhorse thingy to a traditional Indian. But yes, the plastic fenders were a downer. I had a 1500cc one, but the 800 was a truer copy of the original.

You might be right. If Indian came out with a bike that looked like that I'll bet it would be a hit, except for the radiator.

I like the look of that much more than the 1500. Too bad the fenders were plastic, the covers were plastic, the headlamp bucket was plastic... But apparently that was to keep the weight down and keep the performance level competitive for the time of it's release. I never saw a road test comparison of the 800 Drifter against the 883 Sporty of the time, interested to see if the plastic crap really helped in that regard.

The way to get past that is always have your sig other on the back. His/Her legs will conceal the body work?

I like how you are politically correct with "on the back" mention of His/Her. If you ride with me, make sure it's a her. Please.

Hahahahaha I live in a f*cked up part of the country. vermont....first civil union state. I was goofing when I wrote that. Gov Dean, gov of Vermont opened that Pandora's box and every state followed afterwards. The citizens of the state are still pissed because it should have been voted on.

Bill and Jill or Bill and Will, I really don't care. If you pay your taxes and treat people right, that is the main thing in my book. If it is wrong let St. Peter figure it out at the gates. But the view is a whole lot better riding along behind Bill and Jill.

Lol..you're a funny Cannuck,eh. I'm 100% against **** sh@t. Hate the sin not the sinner. Want nothing to do with folks of that ilk. From my limited exposure they're warped and in for a rude awakening come judgement day. It's a mess. We have an it here at work that comes to work dressed in a mini skirt and blond wig...built like linebacker Nick Bonacotti of NE Patriots. Use to work in my section but had to be relocated for inappropriate behavior. Thank God.
