Not much to talk about motorcycle wise right now with all the rain we have been getting. So I sold my XDS 9mm and picked up a XDS 4.0 in 45 cal. Difference is the 9 was a 3.3 inch and the new 45 is in 4 inch. Springfield has really refined their pistols cause the new XDS is a master piece and functions without any issues. Feed any ammo you put in it. The pistol shoots exceptionally well and grouping at 50 feet is excellent. Picked up a Don Hume concealment holster for it and works great. CB has the same pistol only in 3.3 inch. I have found that the 4 inch seems to balance a bit better and the blow back for a small 45 pistol is very manageable. Gotta say I really like it. Picture of the holster that I picted up is all black this one shows it as brown.
To keep this motorcycle related I plan on carrying this pistol in its holster while riding. During summer months my vest should conceal over the top of it.

Good looking pistol, I guess now you have bragging
rights as your's is bigger than CB's LOL

I've been jonesing to pick up a LCR in 357Mag
and there is one on the used shelf at the LGS.

So I try and stay away so someone else buys it...

My Don Hume holster fits really well and is comfortable. I would look at them but nobody carries them around here.

    Don't care what he buys.
Really , really like my XDs 3.3 45.
Shoots great, for the size its accurate.
Its my main carry pistol. You can get a 7 round clip at Academy.
I carry a spare clip with it.
    Super great carry pistol
Like the leather OWB holster he has int he picture.
Not sure who its made by.

There was a model IWB holster I was interested in. But I forgot who it was.

    It was the N82

In my post 1 about this pistol it says the holster is a Don Hume and yes they are really nice. It fits either the 3.3 like yours or the 4.0 like mine. Reason I like the 4.0 better than the 3.3 is it does not have as much recoil as the 3.3. In a video by Hickok45 he even says that. He has the 3.3 and carries it also.

Not me or any of the people I know that has the 3.3 has a problem with the recoil,
It shoots like a 45 for the power. Its super accurate.
We wanted the tiny difference because of the consibility.
This is a carry pistol not a competition pistol.
Want it as light as possible. and easy carry.

    Oh!

    Got a buddy with a 4.0
Never paid attention to the difference.
Like the shorter pistol I have so its a tiny bit of difference to carry.
Wished my S5 cell phone would shoot 45 bullets.

Well I've had both now and with out a doubt I much prefer the 4.0 when shooting them in 45

    Might be nice for you.
But I want something as small as possible.
A handgrenede would be fine. Its even smaller.

Both are nice, they have them at my LGS
i'm leaning toward a pocket revolver, Ruger LCR in 357 Mag
fits right in my pocket. Not a range pistol but I could
shoot 38 special for target practice and revolvers
are nice for pocket guns, they don't care about lint etc
    less moving parts...

THey have a great trigger compared to the S&W 442 or 642 line.

I have the Ruger SP101 with 2 inch barrel in 357. Really like it and like the exposed hammer better. I'll bet that small LCR in 357 really jumps in your hand.
