    i have a 2001 ultra with vance n hines slip ons,se air cleanerand a pc ii. On a trip i used an average of one gallon of gas more than my friends ultras(one stock with 2 riders, and one with se stage one kit). My question is should i go to a new pc iii or just have it dyno tuned. I also ran 1 mph fast or slower on cruise control. by the way the other ultras are a 2002 and 2003. I am using the map given from pc disk.

    That is the bad thing about comparing mileage with dissimilar bikes. Theirs are running leaner than yours is. You have a Magnetto Marelli EFI, they have a Delphi EFI system.

    If bike is running correctly and the plugs look good then there is no need to change. If you need tuning or just HAVE to get better MPG the PCIII USB is two generations more advanced than the PCII. However, that does not guarantee a quantum leap in MPG.
