Let me start with the engine mods (performed by J.E.T.) 99 evo
    Andrews EV27 cam.
    Heads shrink ported.
    Crank balanced/trued.
    Flat top pistons.
    J.E.T. chromemoly pushrods.

    Bolt ons
    J.E.T. airstack.
    J.E.T. intake manifold.
    2 : 1 Thunderheader.
    Dyna 2000 I SF ing.
    K & N air filter.

With this being known. I was told that with Thunderheaders, you can go down 1 jet size(better fuel eco or stop rich condition??). Is this a true statement? if so ,which jet(s)? Right now my concern purchasing & installing the premium tuners kit & doing a correct install but need to "pick your brain" on the particular's of jetting with above mods to @ least put me in the "ballpark".
Currently the CV is bone stock. Runs good but know it can run much better. I am 100% cold weather rider unless it's raining.
Can you point me in the right direction with the jetting?
    Thank you
    J.D.G.

Thunderheaders are good but require tuning
they will create a big dip due to the 2-1 design

One of the tricks in the past was to bolt in an L
bracket in the back blocking off the pipe some
this wil create some backpressure and eliminate the
dip, also you can bend over two of the flaps inside at the back
    to block it some.

Your the 3rd person who recommended that. It must have some traction with it. I'm going to do some "homework" on that, just might be a keeper. I'll get back with ya.
    Thanks

Before you go cutting and welding and bending iron,
get it on a dyno and find out what's going on, you don't
need to pay for a tuning pull, get three pulls from a good
dyno operator with the proper hardware, latest software
and put them on a sheet, post them here and then we can look
at them, ask the dyno operator what they think, plenty of dynos
in TX. Find a good dyno jet place and ask around people that have
    used the guy.

Right now it's about determining baseline

We are definitely on the same page, that thought crossed my mind also. A few in Dallas I can choose from. I've never had the bike on a dyno. What should I look for in a good Dyno operator/equipment?

In the mean time I'm going to go ahead & "pull the trigger" on the tuners kit. If dyno determines rejet/mod, I'll be ready.

when on the dyno ask the operator to due loaded step testing at diffrent throttle positions . at 20 and 30 percent loads this will get your slow jet air fuel ratio reading perfect . tunning the wide open is very easy its getting the cruise and transition point that is hard my thunder header was a tad bit on the rich side and had a dip due to its design . but pulled great up top . the dyno operator and tunner that i use and learn from is the best and well known teacher doc weaver we spent many hours on the dyno tunning my carb touring bike with a thunder header and a healthy twin cam . bent two tabs did a pull . bent three and did a pull and back off just a little on one and then back down the slow jet . the main was dead nuts i did have a step needle for the slide . two tabs does the trick almost all the time .p.s. the evos do better with this pipe than the twin cams due to the exhaust port and valve.

Its hot and humid here. And I wear a leather vest for protection.
I have been down before and really got road rash on my back.
That was years ago. No more. I ride with at least a leather vest.
Make the OL wear one too.
We both wear full face helmets. Boots and gloves.
Not as tough as the Black top.

Lost a unlce in panama City who wouldn't wear a helmet.

You don't think I live near the coast. And it don't get how and humid here.
Problem is even with it Hot. If'n you go down with it 100* or hotter.
    The blacktop will fry you.
Was headed home from houston, a dude laid his bike down. He was laying on the black top squirming. and couldn't get up
I went over and got some help and laid something under him to keep the asphault on the hiway from frying him as he laid there till the parametics could come and get him.
    Seem it before too.

Guess everybody has to ride how they like.
When I was younger I work a blue jean vest in the summer just in case of that.
