Well guess the ride is for sure on, leaving July 30th. Friend of mine from AZ who is up here with his wife and staying with us is going along. His wife is up here quilting with mine so they are content. Were at 6 riders now which is just right. We will be heading out 90 through S. Dakota into Minni soda and then south. I'm going to pull my small cargo trailer and Vern from AZ is pulling his. Were going to do 500-700 miles a day depending on camp grounds. Once we leave WA D.C. Vern myself and another guy are heading out probably going to N. Carolina first and stop in to see my sister. Not sure where after that. Don't think we want to go to far south into the heat but will go through New Mex. and into AZ where he lives. Looks like its going to be a good 6,000 plus mile trip. Plan on servicing the bike before we leave and put Mobile 1 syn. in the motor.
Repacked the wheel bearings on the trailer yesterday and took it down to Les Swab and put two new 12 inch tires on it today. Loaded in a bunch of Cd's in the bike already. 3 man tent, sleeping bad air mattress with pump and a lawn chair (a must). Gonna be a long trip and hope the heat in the east and south don't get to bad.

Good luck and have a blast. Get updates on to here.

Are ya gonna be back in Oregon for the Tualatin festival of Aug 12th? Doesn't sound like it, unless you're in a bigger hurry than me.

I've been looking at the temps across the US kinda wonder what to expect in different parts of the country and it looks pretty much like everywhere east of the Rockies is gonna be really hot. Iowa had a heat index of 114, today.

Were having a meeting at the HD dealer to plan out the route tomorrow at 10 AM.

Yeah, it's been hot here this week. Usually only lasts a few days before we get a break back into the 80's,, but at this point the long range has it mid to upper 90's atleast the rest of July. Maybe it will get over with by the time you head this way.

After being in the 60's and 70's it will be a real shocker for us to be in hot humid climates.

Here is the bike and trailer hooked up. Took it for a ride and the 103 with 255 cams pulled it great. Trailer handled great on the freeway and in the corners. Rock and roll time almost here. Saturday morning with first stop at the KOA in Deer Lodge MT then onto Rapid City.

I have my IPhone and will be posting occasionally and try and put some pics up. Taking a new Kodac mini movie camera with me and hope to convert to a U-tube when I get back, that is if I can figure out how to do it.
