Maddog and I took about a 280 mile ride today. Headed down to the coast via Vernonia then into Astoria. Then down to Cannon Beach where the clouds came in off the ocean and temps dropped down to 60. Saw a small heard of Bull Elks feeding next to the road. They were all in velvet and was an awesome sight. Filled up with gas in the and went down the coast to the lookout that sits above the town of Nehalem and looks down on the ocean and beaches running down to the Tillamook bay. Lots of fishing and crabbing going on there. Went down to the town of Tillamook and we followed the Wilson River up to the summit and back home.
Great Steelhead fishing Fatboy plus some fantastic roads to ride

Beautiful scenery. While we have windy and curvy spooky mounbtain roads out here nother with ocean cliff views, well excpt in Newport/Jamestown,RI that I can think of.

You guys both ride CVO's? Do CVO's come with the heavy duty hinges on the tour pac or did you put those on?

While I'm not a city person and live out in the country I think Portland is better looking than NYC

As usual, excellent pics from all. The N.Y. photos were not my style, but hey, scenery is scenery, same as weeds are flowers too.

They tracked one from up around Maine. Tagges it, and it went all way down the coast of the Atlantic ocean and went into the gulf of Mexico.
And I thought they liked the South Pacific with all the big fish and everything going from Alaska south.

Click here its a research project that has tagged several great whites, you can click on the dot, see where it last surfaced and pinged it's current location, as well as where they tagged the shark.

    http://www.ocearch.org/

East coast has plenty of great whites... duh duh, duh duh, duddudhddhdudhdudhdu chomp chomp.

They generally only eat the yankee white bellys that float in the seas off the coast, apparently they remind them of orca whales floating on the surface...

To cold in the ocean up here in the Northwest Pacific. We get lots of Grey Whales and Killer Whales but they don't bother anyone.

Lots of whites this year they caught and released one off NYC and another off NJ. Cape Cod and the rest of that area has tons of white shark bait, seals. The population of whites is booming since they are protected. We have crazy fishermen that put on wet suits and swim out into the ocean at montauk point and fish floating in the ocean at night!!! It's called squishing. Crazy shirt

I need to go for ride but the bike is broke down again, no oil pressure and the grand kids are here. They stole the wife's and my IPads and playing games. Plus watching Cartoon Network

I could get on the Springer and take off but I think the wife would kill me.
