Earlier this week I brought the Glide in for new tires. When I got the phone call telling me that the Glide was done, that is also when I received the bad news. Yep, I spun a rear wheel bearing. I wasn't really mad because I have always wanted to change wheels. Now I have no choice. I am just glad that nothing severe happened while riding. Now just to decide on what wheels I want.

Hey wondered what happened to ya, thought maybe ya
got caught up in that Fargo Mess with the Stussey's and VM Varga LOL

Lots of good wheel choices, thing is you have to watch tire sizes, up until
this year the 18 inch rears were not available in anything but Dunlop for HD meaning big money or sport bike tires which fit but were not load rated for the
    big HD heavy cruisers.

Can they not put new bearings in or is the wheel ruined.

Call my friend Phil at 785 243 9991 he can hook you up with either stock
take offs or custom one off wheels at a good price. PM, RC, all kinds of wheels.

Be wary of ebay and such, if it's cheap it's chin-lee and shit made
which means your life is in the hands of Ho-Lee Fuk and Sum-din-Wong.

Just don't go big wheel up front, at least stupid big wheel, kills handling
and ride, yeah you look cool at the Steak and Shake, but you like to ride.

The wheel hub is not in very good shape. We lock tited a new bearing in but knowing now that it's there, I just am not comfortable with riding it like that. RC is probably where I am going to go, I just need to decide on what style I want. (Chrome, contrast or solid black). As far as size goes, I am staying with the stock 16" on both ends.

That would be smart. Yeah I wouldn't trust a locktite bearing

Bullshit thing about it is that the person who changed the tires said it "should" hold through this set of tires. Yeah right!

Eventually I will get rotors but at $250 a pop, I can wait for a little while.

We will be working on brother's Glide soon right after we finished installing the Smittybilt bumper I ordered from 4WheelOnline for my Jeep. Got some pics already of those wheels installed?
