    I had a 2006 softail deluxe (88 ci) and will replace the cam tensioner with the following;

    1) Sreamin eagle hydraulic cam chain tensioner and high flow oil pump upgrade kit

    2) Screamin eagle premium tapered quick install adjustable push rod

    3) Bearings, washer, gasket and all the small parts that is needed for the repair.

I went to a Harley dealer here in CA. and the service guy told me the Woods Cam to go.

My question is: In this set up, what would you recommend the right cam for this set-up?

I am looking for the mid to high power.which could pass them easily.

    .

Any input on your advice is highly appreciated.

I've always been an S&S fan and have them in my 05 softail, but I'd listen to Woods or stay with Scream'n Eagle stuff, there made to work with the other stuff you mentioned. Cams is the think you'll find that everyone has a different opinion on.

    I would call Bob Woods.

Wood Performance Carburetors - High Performance Harley Carbs and Cams

He has a hydraulic cam plate assembly, cam and everything made for the cam plate. It also comes with a Upgraded Oil pump. Make sure you replace the lifters and cam bearings in the chest.
And you hear a lot about Woods cams because they are good cams.

Bob knows cams and racing and motors.

You ain't done yer homework REdneck

The SE kit compared to Bob Woods is a Different cam plate.

The SE kit used bearings from the old setup in the cam plate.
Bob has one that is like the 07 style cam plate and cams for it.

HD quit using outter cam roller bearings in 07 bikes.

And then you have to use either Woods "R" cams or Andrews "N" cams...
With the SE kit you can still use any 99-06 cams and you have hydraulic tensioners, which is what the conversions are all about, the cam plate bearings weren't an issue, the spring loaded tensioners were....

So if you are replacing cam plates and cams why does it make any difference.

Chuck has a 26 andrews cam in his bike.

Why would I want a Andrews cam when I can have a Woods cam

Chuck rode my last bike with the TW6 woods cam in it.
    Ask him how it ran
When I got ready to do something, It don't cost any money to pick the phone up and call Bob Woods.
You can't beat talkin with him and what he has to offer you on what you are wanting to do.
If you email him you are not going to learn as much.

i would get bigger cams or grinds more fitting to your build before installing the increased ratio rockers, ide also go gear drive over the SE,andrews or woods cam plate

Well When I did the build on my 01 Springer to 95 inch I had 211 cams installed. Love the power increase. It's a carbed bike with Kens kit installed and I'm running V&H fishtails on it. HP is 86, don't remember the torque but it pulls real strong.

Yes i am going 95". Called Bean of Big Boyz coz I am planning to honed and ported BUT he doesn't want my old clynder head assy coz of high mileage (89,562). But Dewey Performance will accept my old cylinder head to be honed and ported. Now, I am confused. if i go with Bean, i need a low mileage cylinder head assy. and $$$. If i go with Dewey's im ok.. I NEED HELP ON THIS. What is my consequences if i use my old one????
