    Hey all,

Whad up? I was wondering if a Stock Fatboy rim (2003) would fit on an FX front end (2005). I have a standard and am about to pick one up for a winter install.

What year did they change the axles ? If it’s the meatier axle, I’m not sure if it will fit the older set-up. Good question wmiconi.

    Good question

I have learned that they are both 41mm after 2002. I may need spacer help.

mocking up a front end is not THAT hard. You need some pvc pipe to do the mock cuts, and once they're right size, just have a machine shop cut spacers, or as I do it, cut them yourself. I use stainless steel spacer sections ( buy at local scoot shop in 6 inch pieces) and a chop saw. If you use a new wheel on the saw and you go slowly, you won't get any blueing (at least I didn't!) Just make sure the cut is right!
