This being my first bike, I dont really have a clue what i'm doing.
I tried to start my bike, and heard a chattering, but no start. Some friends at work told me that battery was dead. So I charged the battery and it worked. This started happening repeatedly and often. FInally, I charged the battery, but had no response at all, no lights, no chattering, no start. I figured I killed the battery, so I went and bought a new one. Upon installation of the new battery and attempt at starting, there was a brief chattering and then nothing. Given this, I don't think the problem is my battery, but I don't have a clue what it might be, can anyone help?

Check the connections on the wires to the starter make sure the ground to the frame is good you might scrape a bit of the powder coat off the frame under it to get a better ground.

If it's an 05 it should be under warranty so I'd take it in to the dealer and have them check it.
