Can anyone tell me if an exhaust system off of an 06 Road King will fit/work on an 07? I found one that is basically a custom made that the guy doesn't like because it is too loud. (I don't understand either:banghead: ). It's a "true-dual" system.

    Thanks.

Yes, it will physically bolt on but going from 06 to 07 you will have to drill and weld bungs to install your oxygen sensors unless you have a pc3 in which you dont use your oxygen sensors anyway, Todd

    Thanks but

...sounds like too much trouble. I'll just buy some made for my bike. I really appreciate the answer.

You can get the bungs at any muffler shop or from daytona twin tech with the plugs

Take the headers and mount them up on the bike, then with a sharpee mark where you want the bungs welded

I'd suggest getting bungs with an angle not straight, you want the bung to point to an area that makes it easy to get to. Use your stock headers as guides and just put the chrome covers on the muffler to make sure you didnt mark it in the wrong spot.

Take the headers and bungs to a muffler shop, they can do it in a couple of minutes for just a few bucks

If you're getting the pipes at a good discount it's not that much trouble.

Wow! That does sound pretty simple! Thanks! I was getting a pretty good deal; but its hard to say for sure thru e-bay. I have only bought 2 things that way. Think I'll stick to a store either on line or here local. But thanks anyway!

Actually I am in the process right now of doing this same thing, I am installing a thundermax with auto tune and have to install oxygen sensors, I marked the locations on the pipes with a marker and tonight I am going to drill and weld in the bungs, Todd
