1995 1340 FLHTC,20 over ,domed pistons,10.5 to 1,S&S 585 cam with S&S adj push rods .E-type S&S carb,H4 Ignition single fire, problem is getting the timing right where it has the power and no pinging, timing is set at the hole on the right side have been playing with timing by adjusting the plate for advance as well setting the H4 with the advance curve as well .cannot seem to fine the right spot for real good power without pinging if I lose the pinging I need to retard the timing then I lose power and still need the bike to start, when advanced to far bike has a harder time to start but not all the time .Need to know where to set the H4 on advance curve as well where to set the timing plate.
    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

have you done a cold compression test?
whats the cranking PSI per cyl..

    Throttle open 100%
    plugs out,
    Check front and rear cyl

lets see what that thing is cranking...
