16 inch wheel on my 2ooo wide glide

    I know I have a 3/4 inch axel so what bikes could I use thier front wheel and what problems might I encounter?

    All The Drillin And Lathe Work To Put On A Rotar And Pully Or Sprocket, Hassle And Time, Easy'er To Just Put On A Rear Rim.

    I take it your talkin about puttin a 16" on the front. If you got a 3/4"axle then just about any Evo wheel will work, but then you'll have to adjust(change)the spacers to centre the wheel and line up the rotor.

    MUST HAVE BEEN IN LA LA LAND, THOUGHT THEY WERE ASK'N ABOUT PUTT'N A REAR RIM ON THE FRONT:roflmao: ANY FRONT SHOULD WORK AS LONG AS THE AXLE STYLE IS THE SAME FOR THE LOWER LEGS, SO IF YOUR SAME AXLE FITS THE RIM ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS MAYBE DO SOME SPACERS FOR THE ROTOR AND RIM LIKE LUCIFER SAID. ALSO A MORE THAN LIKELY A NEW FENDER.

    Thank you I found a 16 inch wheel for a 99 wide glide seems like it would fit, but dealers dont want to help.

    Most dealers have guys that can lookup and sell parts, and then they have a couple of guys that know what fits what.

    If you want to do something out of the norm, you have to take the chance or find an experienced parts or service guy

    At Seminole Bryan in Service or Bobby in parts are the two guys that have done enough of this stuff to know what might work.

    For example when I went to pop in the Ultima 6 speed, they want you to cut off a part of the shifter shaft tube that the shift arm fits through.

    Talked with Bryan and he suggested I get a shift tube/spacer for an earlier model HD softail trans. Parts guys couldn't find the PN but eventually I got the book from them, we found it and lo and behold it was in stock.

    I had Bryan get a tech to press it out, I don't have the press necessary to do it, cost me $20 straight to the tech, I didnt' have to buy any tools, and nothing had to be cut inside the trans exposing bearings to metal futz.

    so if you want to do this stuff ask who knows a lot about it, this will help, or an indy if you want. BTW you can take alot of HD parts to do stuff on the bike.

    Parts guys dont want to sell you something that will have you back at the counter shouting that it didn't work when you were customizing stuff.

    So you have to understand that it "might or might not" work, and you have to suck it up if it doesn't.
