I was informed from a guy on HTT that Jireh Cycles had roller rockers for $110 so I looked it up. Sure enough there they are. $109.95. So I called up Jireh as the description for the rockers said that it would fit Sporty's and Evo Big Twins from 1984-

I specifically asked the tech department if they would fit Twin Cams. I was told no. I then proceeded to relay that information on HTT and that is when I was told that the rocker arms are the same. Prodrag1320 even confirmed that after I posted this thread. The ratio is 1.675 instead of the 1.625, but I think that I can handle that. WOW, what a savings!!!!!!:D

I wouldn't put anything from Jireh in that build,
the stuff they sell is cheap Chin-lee knock offs

I had two 6 speeds take a dump, buddy had two do the same
rated for high HP and can't take the pressure His El Bruto has been
a POS until Kirby redid the head, nothing but problems.

Unless they are rebadging SNS stuff run...

Don't skim on roller rocker arms, there were
a lot of chin-lee being sold in early tc years and they
were letting go, when one does the cost you saved of $100
will be eaten up in replacing valves, guides machine work, pushrods
    pistons, cams bearings etc..

Ok, I will be disciplined and not buy the Ultima roller rockers. I had planned on the S&S but then that was put out there that I could get rockers at a $350 discount. No worries, I will stick with my original decision with the S&S. Thanks for the consistency in your responses.

Yep....'84 Evo's were basically an Evo top end on a shovel bottom, you'll see a lot of Evo top end parts end with a -83 part number(cyls, valves, guides, springs and collars to name a few) which means 1983 was the 1st year of that part for HD

I figured not, but can you point to a real significance difference between the two that would sway? Since most things are sourced out of the U.S. I am not going to accept the argument of where they are made and where they aren't. Are there issues with the rollers? How about the bushings inside for the shafts, is there verifiable proof that they will fail? Not trying to argue, I am looking for a consistent consensus as to why they are bad is all.
