    I need help!!!
    New harley owner...
there is a rubber hose on the bottom of the carburator where does it connect to. It will not stop leaking gas, the end not connected to carb.
Is this an over-flow hose where the gas line is left open when engine is shut off.
    THANKS

That is the overflow tube and should be routed under the bike. The only time fuel should come out is when you have a stuck float, needle, seat etc. Close the petcock, remove the carb, clean the seat and needle and check the float for leaks. Set the float height and reassemble. Drain the tank, remove the petcock and clean the filter screen.

Also, go get a service manual. It is the best tool in your box.

I agree on the service manual, wether ya been ridin for years or just startin the more ya know about yer ride the easier it is to get it together when ya find yerself broke down. bein that my ride is almost 60 years old I got the manual which I thumb through from time to time but I always carry a few tools with me. wrenches extra chain link, electrical tape. If ya don't got saddle bags I recomend at least one of those little tool pouches you can put on yer forks or wherever. Tude
