Hi everybody,i'm new to the whole forum/posting scene, but i got to say what an excellent site you have all put together here,i'm hoping somebody might be able to tell me if i can fit a set of heads and carby off a stock 1995 fatboy onto my 1989 fxrp, although mine is '89',it does have a few 1990 bits that were factory fitted such as carby, clutch, jackshaft.i bought it from a police auction and the only things removed from it after it was decommisioned was the siren, radio and the police force stickers off the tank.that was 15years ago and i've never had a major problem with it since day 1,(i gotta funny feelin i shouldnt have said that..),anyway,are the rockerbox's,rockergear, gaskets, etc the same on the 89 as the 95?,also is there any issues with the top breathing setup sitting on bottom breathing cases?,well i look forward to any comments or info that anybody has on the subject. have a great day everybody. Lloyd, Australia.

You can use your 89 rocker boxes and gaskets on the 95 heads and you can get a 1/2" to 5/16"(V-Twin or Custom Chrome have them) insert so you can also mount your breather, only difference is your bottom rocker doesn't have the cut out for the umbrella valve that the head breathers use.

I forgot to ask ,why are you swapping heads?? They are basically the same except for the breather holes.

i can get the fatboy heads for next to nothing from a friend and i've got a pretty sad sounding exhaust valve on the back pot on the original set thats on there at the moment, but i'm pretty busy at the moment so i'll just get the stuff i need as i come accross it then hopefully i'll get a chance to have a go at fixing everything.
