Hiya AFNurse - Great pics that country reminds me of the rocky mountains.
Looks like they aren't sticking you with MRE's - almost like a meal at home.
Hows the weather over there? is it the same as the US or does it go up and down during the day?
I was in Isreal back in the day and at night it would get very cold but during the day one would sweat up a storm; never knew if I should dress like a Eskimo or grab the swim trunks.
Keep yer head and other exposed down and yer M4 handy.
    Stay Safe.:)

The 'canon' is some type of Russian rocket launcher....the German Army guys gave it a "snappy" paint job!! :D

That meal was my first Afghan meal...served by the Hospital commander....was pretty good! I enjoyed it! The weather has been cool in the evenings and pleasantly warm during the day.....we are between 6000 and 8000 ft above sea level and surrounded by mountains.....I am sure that winter will get cool...but not sure what temps are going to be. Have an indoor/outdoor thermometer, but need to find 1 more AAA battery to make the outdoor part work.....I'll have temp feeds in a week or 2 (I hope!).

I don't get out of Minnesota much so I find the pictures very interesting. Stay safe over there.

Very interesting pics, look like from looking at the hills and landscape that they don't get a lot of rain fall. I think I like Oregon even with all its rain.
That weapon looks like a bazooka. What is so important there to fight for. Stay safe guy, keep the head down. :)
