2004 road king custom carbed. upgrade help

    Hi, I am new to this forum but have been reading about upgrading my 88ci to a 95ci or 97ci (if I go with the s&s big bore kit). I will have my local bike shop put the build together. Need help in choosing the cam, either the andrew's 26 or 37 cam? I will be having the heads mildly ported by my shop and sticking with the stock carb. The bike currently has slip-on mufflers and hi-flow air cleaner w/ a carb. re-jet. Not really ineterested in going over 90 mph and will mostly be riding solo. Any help in guesstimating where my hp/tq might be with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time, Jim

    S&S .510, why change mfg when you are doing an S&S big bore, stick with them, they have great parts with lots of R&D behind them. I'd stick with a modified CV carb, for me the sporster needle (what ever the number is) works the best for performance and fuel mileage, JMO

    what kind of numbers will this cam create? What is the next cam up on the list from this one and is it still mild enough to be reliable?

    a 95 build with 10.25.1 510 and ported heads 100/105 if tuned correct. My duce was fi and those cams worked good but there is better chices from s-s for that build i was a little under camed for that build with the correct choice in cams like a 570 i would have gotten much more out of it.
