I just wanted to get some info. It seems to me that all touring 2007 and later with 02 sensors tend to run hotter than the previous models. I had and 05 sportster before the SG and never noticed engine heat like on the SG. I understand the sportster was carbed and a smaller motor. I'm just curious if anyone has noticed this trend. I ride my SG and don't worry about the heat to much. I run good oil and maintain the bike. Just wanted some info. Glad the site is up and running again.

i think the newer models do run hotter because of epa regulations.....they come from the factory on the lean side, very lean.
