2008 road king handlebars

    im getting a bad pain across my shoulder line and neck when riding more than ten mins im about 6'3 many people have told me to change the handle bars to bring them closer to my body... i have been told to put heritage soft tail classic bars on the bike my question is any recomendations and im also told if i ahve to extend the brake and clutch wire it will produce a computer code that will light on the console that harley must clear????

    im not so sure about the second part of your question, but as for the bars, go to the dealer, they have mock bikes set up so you may try different bar/seat combos. find what ya like then you know exactaly what will fit your needs........:)

    well, if you change bars at least you dont have to buy new throtttle cables as the 08s dont have em just wires, Todd

    The wires for the throttle by wire can be extended without causing codes. just make sure the solder joints are good and the heatshrink is covering the joints properly. How do you think they put 16" apes on baggers?
