I was told by a HD store owner today that the 2012 CVO Ultra is going to be done in yellow.

OMG! In yellow, it'll look like a d@$% Goldwing!!!

For 2012, the new Goldwing comes with (2) color matching helmets and SATIN JACKETS. Sign me up!

Well that actually looks pretty tasteful. I had visions of ALL YELLOW like the Goldwing......which looks like a new taxi-cab.

:roflmao: You know Harley ain't that dumb to make their premium flagship look like a school bus, Honda yes cause they got no class. :D

Was up at Columbia HD today with the guys that are going on the trip to the wall and they have the two tone blue 2011 CVO Ultra sitting on the showroom floor. Man, that bike is fabulous looking. One of the guys Steve, got real serious on it and threw them on offer and they took it. He had to do a double take and backed off saying I got to think about this first. We would be doing his first 1000 mile service on the road someplace.

Did they go back to the original HD tailight?? Hard to tell in photo. I'm big when it comes to tailights being bigger for visability. The newer Street glides and Road Glides had those slash lights. My brother in Melbourne, Fl. got rear ended on his 2 week old Street Glide by a gray beard sitting at a light. I lost a good buddy getting rear ended at a light. I have the BriteAss light on my Fatboy with the signal converter too.
Man, about 5:30 pm I got hit by bad pain in the right rear quarter panel. Came and went a few times until I gave in to OL and went to emergency room about 11:30pm. Damn, my first kidney stone! I don't wish it on anyone, oh wait, yeah, the Pres. should get them weekly!

Fatboy sorry to hear about the kidney stones, drink more water.

On my Ultra I put the the trunk lights in so that I have break lights at the bottom and now the top. But still, if there gonna hit you they will and there comment will always be, I didn't see you.

Thanks FLHTB! As they say: "getting old is a bitch".
I now pull up to trqaffic stops ON the painted line so they can go ahead and crunch the car in front of me. And I keep the BrightAssLight flashing at the highest intensity while still.

Well fatboy I'll tell yea size done matter and were not talking sex hear either. I had a big 18 foot MAC Tools truck and was stopped at a light when I got rear ended. The dumb arss said I didn't see you  so lights and size might not stop it but I'm like you anything that may draw their attention.

It has the two LED lights that are RTB functional between the bags.

    Very bright.

It's always been my opinion that you can have all the lights on earth and still get rear ended. It's just that people DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY'RE DOING. They ALWAYS say, "I didn't see it", but what they mean is "I WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION". Anyway, I'm not cluttering up my sickle to accomodate some rubbernecking dumb**s behind me. I'll take my chances.
Man, that brown color looks fantastic on that CVO RG! Reminds me of a deep bronze metalflake color I once used on a Revell model car.

That's what I like about the Brightasslight. He uses the original HD tailight assembly, pulls the guts and mounts his LEDs and electronics into it. Looks bone stock until you hit the brakes.
    Cool tailight Josh!

Thanks Fatboy! It's a replica '29 Ford tail light I've been told. It also came with an extra glass lens that says "stop". Duh. Would you believe $175 including the license plate bracket? Yoiks! But I had to have it.
The tail light and my headlight (a '70s Harley item) were originally chrome, but I roughed 'em up with coarse sandpaper (spent hours) and painted them my theme color: flat black.
I like the name of the Brightasslight. Tells it like it is.

Maybe that bright school-bus yellow Goldwing would keep you from getting rear-ended, but I wouldn't be caught dead on one. I believe in more lights behind me too.

Fatboy, FLHT is right about drinking more water to prevent kidney and bladder stones, unless your water is really hard (lots of minerals).
