Had me a pretty blue n black ultra ltd for 3 days down here at bike week. (Photo when I get home). I was pretty excited to get to ride one. BUT, as it turns out, I was cramped on it! That nice comfy seat pushed this 6'1" dude to far forward. My feet were hangin off the front of the boards and still cramped my legs. Charli46 had an extra set of highway pegs we mounted and his stock Street Gilde saddle. That helped a lot, but still I found the bike cramped. Other than that it was great making time n miles!

Ps. That stock 103 pulls real niice when hitting 4th n 5th passing 60 mph cages.

Man please, I'm 6-1 myself and the ultra is the most comfortable big touring bike there is. I know I have ridden most all of them including the 1500 and 1800 Goldwing. Cramped, gee I can't believe a softail rider saying that. You want cramped ride a Goldwing.

Why do you take things so personally??? WTF. Maybe my inseam I longer than yours! Maybe I'm fatter than you! Maybe your inseam is 20 " (that you can take personally). You need witnesses?? I have several. WTF man, please.

:wtf:Not taking nothing personally just stating facts. I'm 6'1" and 220 pounds so no 20 inch waist for me. :D
Just think its strange that someone of your size would say the Ultra is cramped. :)

I can see where someone used to a softail would find an Ultra a bit confining. From my perspective I find the softails a bit stretched..i'm only 5'8". the seat is further back and the foot controls are out further in front. The touring bike is a much better fit for me. The lowers in front will keep you from moving your feet out front..no biggie for me. i'll be taking the heel shifter off mine so I can move the feet back on the boards. It shouldn't be long before the bike arrives

Interesting I found the Fatboy to small of a ride dor me and felt cramped up. Each to their own I guess. I think Fatboy128 should be feeling no pain about right now, he's got the jack out and wished I was with him helping him out.:D

I'll say 1 thing, on that Limited Ultra, the seat pushes you a good 2 in. forward of where you sit on my StreetGlide. And the lowers inhibit my size 12s.JMO. But a very nice ride. I wouldn't like to have to spend $$$ to have to change that otherwise beutiful, plush seat.( I'm 6'4", 260lbs) JMO

Ya it's a darn shame to have spend that kinda money for a bike IMO then have to spend more money to make it right

Like I said mine fit perfect and rode my limited on a 8000 + mile trip last summer and was extremely comfortable, each to their own. I know for sure I would rather do that trip on a touring bike like the Ultra than on a Softail. Maddog did on his CVO Streetglide and was comfortable.

I test road an Ultra. Prefer the open feeling better that a softtail gits ya. A tourin bike like a Road King or simlar is my style.

I got a Softail plus my Ultra, guess which one I ride 99% of the time. Thinking of selling the Springer.

Did you have a backrest on the Ultra?
THe new seat is thick, and if you have the HD backrest if
the farthest forward position it puts you up on the tank.

I have to put mine on the bottom position furthest back then it's
    fine....

funny im only 5.10 and i felt cramped up with the factory classic seat . put the road king seat on it and felt much better . and my hips did not kill me any more . highway pegs are a must ! gotta stretch once and a while!
