Couple of buddies and I just finished what is becoming an annual run through the Tail of the Dragon. Left Asheville and rode to Deals Gap... Hwy 74 to Hwy 28 (Moonshiners Run) then to 129 ...place was a zoo. Waited until it cleared out and had a nice run through the Dragon. Hit Hwy 129 Harley shop, then on into Tenn. Rode Hwy 360 down to Tellico Plains. Had late lunch at the Outpost Pavilion, great vitals. Then Cherohala Skyway back into Robbinsville, then on to Stechoa and the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge. Outstanding place, nothing there but bikes. Cold beer and prime rib with sweet potato. Man what a way to finish a great day of riding, weather unbelievable...!

Sunday morning, sausage gravy and biscuits with grits... Then back on the road ... Hwy 28 south this time through Franklin, Highlands, Cashiers, Sylva and over to Maggie Valley and Wheels Through Time Museum. Home about supper time. One GREAT weekend.

First two pix are my 01 Softail at Deals Gap. Next two are Bill and Todd with their late 80's models. 5th and 6th are at Iron Horse MC Lodge, bikes in covered parking and fire pit/camping area. The next 3 are on the road between Franklin and Highlands. Last is a picture of Dale Walkster (light colored shirt) owner of Wheels Through Time. He was doing donuts in that bike with sidecar when we pulled up!!

Lucky. You guys are lucky!! Jealous.

Dale from WTT is a great guy. Was thru there back in 2009 or so and he gave me much needed pointers on riding the sidecar bike I'd had at the time. And WTT is awsome.
