Just got a flyer for my 40th High School Reunion...We have one every ten years...Should be interesting...Went to the 30th and did not recognize a few and a few were gone...Now about 15% us are gone due to drinking, drugs, suicide, normal death and the unknown which seems pretty high to me...However, I'm not surprised at few that are gone as they had what I will call high risk behavior and some I never would have expected...

Can't believe that it has been 40 years...Makes ya think...

40th!!!! Hey Marc are you sure? Maybe 45th? Unless your class is skipping years. My class holds reunions within months of every 10th anniversary of actually graduating. '69-79-89-99-09-19. This year they are doing 45th since my class is dropping like flies!

My 40th is next weekend too. I'm not going. High school sucked as did many of the classmates. I was not a jock,a druggie,a nerd,a gas rat, teachers pet, smarty pants goody two shoes,. My 2 best friends from that class are deceased.I left town right after graduation and never looked back. And we are all different people 40 years later, except the ones who never left town...still same same townie and townie mentality.

I graduated in 74...Does not seem that long ago...They have a formal reunion every 10 years which most of us go to and some get together every year or two...Last one I went to was the 30th...I'm in contact with just a few of the guys...

Of for surezees..time is slipping by silently and quickly. One minute you're 25 years old full of piss and vinegar, the next your 58 with bad knees, degenerative arthritis and limited energy level.

Marc 55, one year ahead of you, graduated in 73. I'm kinda like badinfluence63, nothing from HS gets my attention. Did go to 10 year...thought not likely I'll do this again, mostly cause my wife wanted to....

I went to the 10th and the 20th...nothing there. In fact I live 200 miles from my hometown and there are 4 classmates in a 60 mile radius and I've contacted all of them to say hi and none reciprocated so I guess my position is acurate. Hey we've all changed, gotten on with life and thos 4 years have ridden off into the sunset. The 40th is next weekend. It would be a financial and time inconvienience. The juiice is not worth the squeeze.

As mentioned I didn't go I wa in Bloomsburh,PA. Classmates sent photos of the class. My old GF is front and center and next time I see her I need to shake her hand and thank her for dumping me. If I live long enough I may go to the next one?
    And how was it?
