Was up in the Sears Tower in Chicago in Winter '78, I think it was the 103rd floor. Felt the sway. Not going back any time soon - too much like shipboard life!

Also was up in a hotel in San Diego when a 7-point something quake hit out in the desert and it also caused a lot of swaying from over a hundred miles away. Really could have done without it, but it was better than the building falling down. Been in two building collapses when I was a firefighter, even less fun.

I don't even like standing on the edge of the grande canyon and looking over.

Had to put up ladders to climb up on roofs that were a bit over two stories when doing home inspections and hated it. The hardest part was going back down the roof and onto the ladder, don't care what anyone's says that was scary. Started using very strong powered binoculars on many of them after awhile. Nope they can have those high places now, I'm retired.

Yea I climbed up every roof sometimes going out on the deck of some that were higher than my 24 foot ladder. Talk about some fantastic views. Gotta walk the edge of the roof to check the gutters, fun.
