So, went on a ride today..... had to stop by a HWY 43 sign... Did a total of about 505 miles....(give or take 1-2 miles.....I forgot to set my trip counter until I was at the gas station, think it is about 3-4 miles away....and 501.3 on the dial!). What I didn't know was that at 71 degrees in Great Falls, temps would be in the low/mid 40's....mesh jacket and t-shirt are NOT enuf.....add one sweatshirt to warm up! Met up with a guy that I met on another board that lives in MT. We pulled out, pulled into an overlook that gives a great view of Butte..... then continued on towards Anaconda. We turned off on some back road that was GREAT (other then the pot holes and general rough ride...) and ended at MT 43. Took a few pics....I posted a couple of mine, he has the rest (and probably better ones!). We then went to the Butte HD, then swung out saw more scenic drives!! I saw a total of 4 deer (one was ON THE ROAD....) and 3 ELK (HUGE DEER for those that don't know what they are.....and again, ONE WAS ON THE ROAD).....way too close. Nice to see tho! Bit sore, been a bit since I have done a 500 mile day. Had a blast tho!

Great pictures, very nice country, nice riding without all the traffic. 500 miles is a good day. Beautifull part of our great nation were you live.
Living in Colorado I always care my leather jacket, like you said 80 in town is not what it is going to be in the mountains. We are headed to the high country tomorrow for a picnic with friends.

Man you were just twenty some miles from WISDOM did you stop in and see what it looked like. Maybe a pic of that. Now that I know where it is I might have to plan a vacation. Too bad that isn't a more visited place these days LOL.

Awesome pics man. Looks like a really nice ride. 500 mile day is a good one, wish I had that kinda time again. I love my boy though, so a few less miles of riding is worth it to spend time with him now. Can't wait until he is 15 and on his own riding beside me. I just hope I am still able to ride when he is 15 LOL.

I love those kind of days and rides. 500 miles is pretty easy to do in Montana, in most places. Your gonna love Montana, lots of winter sports in the winter. Get yourself a snowmobile for winter.
