I'm having to replace a cylinder on my Shovelhead. Have any of yall had any experience with the aftermarket (cheap) cylinders? I see the S&S replacements are pretty costly, I'd rather use the less expensive ones (from Drag Specialties or Midwest) unless they have a history of problems.

    Cheap

Hey Chuck, the number one rule on life is, you "usually" get what you pay for. (Cheap is as cheap does) The Midwest and Drag Specialties are good parts (IMO). I have some Midwest parts on my cycle and there on the cheap side, but funtional. Unless your going for a high-compression-stroker, then your Shovel should be just fine.
