The only surviving Messerschmitt BF109E-4 still flying. It was shot down and belly landed in a field during the Battle of Britain in 1940. It is currently with the Russel Aviation Group, Ontario Canada.

Nice to see one not as a static display and in flying condition. I seem to recall pics of the early Israeli Airforce using surrendered Bf109s. I always thought of that as Karma's revenge.( No, they were Czech manufactured copies, Avia S-199s, thanks Wikipedia for proving me wrong yet again!) Cool Vid. Thanks for sharing.

Every year we go to the gathering of the Warbirds in Reading, PA...I love WW II aircraft...

Went on a trip last year to a shop near Corning, NY that restores WW II aircraft...Had some great ol planes that they were working on...

We have a great museum here. The American Air Power Museum is located at the old Fairchild factory where many military planes were built including their last the A10 Warthog. Wife and I took two grand kids there last week. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405587992.677849.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405588011.227691.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405588055.111087.jpg

Yep, those are very cool. I really like the old WWII military airplanes. We have a private museum here and they have the British Spitfire, beautiful airplane. They even have Howard Hues Spruce Goose inside there showroom.
